Dennis,
Although its best to seek advice from your therapist or doctor, vibration exercise has been effective for low back pain and sciatica. There have been studies showing vibration being effective for chronic low back pain. We have also seen some great improvement in the numbness associated with sciatica. The reason is, you do get a lot more circulation with vibration exercise, in addition to providing muscle stimulation without putting stress on the back. There are many causes of low back pain. There's a lack of proprioception, a weak core, weak muscles, tight muscles, etc. Vibration exercise is just that..it's exercise. However, its an exercise device that can address all these factors for back pain. Once you start using a vibration platform, its important to take a step by step process. Dont try to over do it right away. Over time, you will be able to increase the intensity of your exercise as you start feeling better.
